Personality :

A sugar loaded  extremely cheerful young boy with enormous amount of extra energy and  saccharine run in his blood. That's how we would describe Cinque. Really, He is one of the rarest type of person that hardly to believe for us, but, even though the apocalypse is happening he would likely still consider that like a challenge in the game. Yes, Cinque really loves athletic and basically all kind of competitive games. He is very competitive that in any occassions you can see him doing some practices or have fun with common objects and use them as if they are some athletic training tools. Of course, with that attitude one can conclude that Cinque is a very playful person. He is basically just like to have fun without any evil intention.

That being said, it includes the event when he got suddenly tossed into another dimension, another world that is entirely brand new to him. The world with magic powers, Chocobo  mystical birdie creatures, and...people with obvious animal ears.  The world itself is in the state of war  and he was summoned by a princess named Millhiore from Biscotti Kingdom, to become their hero so they can triumph the war. A normal guy usually wants to go back to his world, but Cinque is a very very simple minded hipster that he instead made a bold decision :

“Scratch real world ,I am already here I will have fun”.

Yup, Cinque thought that the new world is beautiful and it would be such a waste if he goes home quickly. Well, that  explains another of his personality  that he is such a curious boy and love to explore new experiences. Thankfully, the war is just merely  resembling a sports game, so he won’t ever losing his life at it. However, Cinque is more than capable to handle the title of "Hero" since Biscotti is able to win the war, all thanks to him.

Because Cinque is a really kind, carefree, open, and  won’t hesitate to greet everyone even though they’re new, He would easily  get along and befriend  people. Thing is, this also applied to villains and his opponents, especially after they admit their mistake and stopped their evil threat. But, really, Cinque has a big heart, he is easily forgiving  so he  would never hold any grudge or suppress such kind of dark emotions. Just like the first line stated, he is made from load of sugar and saccharine.

This is why almost everyone in that new world already respect and became his best friends. Oh, and since he is very talented in battle thanks to his athletic skills and his enthusiasm that made him quick to learn the way of fighting using magic, he gained popularity and admirers rather fast. No question needed  to ask, because he was able to ace the war and managed to have an equal score when he fought the opponent’s army leader while no one can.  Of course, this also lead him to have so many fangirls. Some of them show their affection to him and some others don’t. Gee, but it’s not like it would make any difference because Cinque is simply dense. Oh yeah, he is a dork.  He casually claimed that he likes everyone, every of his friends,  and he thinks everyone is very nice. He also treats them entirely same. That’s all. It would take centuries for him until he is able to realize intimate affection, romance and those kind of things. Even a kiss won’t help.

That is forgivable, though. Because one simply cannot hate a dedicated fighter who never hesitate to help his friends in need. As cliché as it is, Cinque is a hero, and while sometimes he is far from being heroic, Cinque always willing to help people and do some good deeds. He won’t mind to help in the kitchen, clean the bathroom, taking care of pets , being a companion for a sparing battle...and even for a morning jog.

Being idiotic dense hero doesn't mean that he is stupid, though. Most of the time he is able to show his badass-ness. Cinque is a street smart that he is good in handling situation and capable of taking some good decisions and strategy. That’s his recipe to win a competition. Even so, he is actually sensitive about getting beaten and losing. It is shown when he cried after he lose from his cousin in a grand athletic competition. However, let’s repeat  once more that he is made from sugar and saccharine. He won’t be down too long and will raise to good mood very quick, and he won’t hold grudge to opponents who have beaten him. Instead he will make them as his motivation. He loves rivals.

Conclusion is, Cinque Izumi is a dependable hero  and a very good friends, aside being a total charmer. He is indeed really charming. Especially after he received power from Hero King that allow him to change into his adult version for some moments. This adult version of him still maintain his young personality, though. That’s why sometimes he could create some awkward moments. But since that makes him more badass when he is in battle, of course no one would mind. And they love him that way. No, whatever happens, everyone will always love a Cinque Izumi. 

Ability :

Granted with super talent in athletic, Cinque is an agile opponent, and good at both ground and aerial combat. He can move really swift and his reflex is beyond average. Put it shortly, he is a worthy opponent. Cinque mainly fight with a staff or some kind of stick (As long as they resembles an athletic training tools). He is also able to use magic, mainly fire element. His staff is also a special one, it can turn into a kind of hovering board that granted him ability to explore by flying. He often to use this to give him advantage especially at bigger opponent, or a big scale war where he could easily wipe away troops in wide area or large field.

With "Hero Time" power he received from Adele, the King of Hero (But is actually a she). He is able to turn into his adult form. With more stamina and growth, Cinque got more power up (and intelligence up, too. He is way cooler and level headed in his adult form while maintaining his young personality). This also helps him many times in battle, and he can use it anytime he wants. The form would not last that long, though.
